Bangladesh ranks 142 out of 187 countries according to the United Nation's Human Development Index (2014). About 43 percent of its 56.6 million people live below the poverty line, on $1.25 a day, and 37 percent of its children under 5 are malnourished. Click here more details......

Bangladesh continues to be one of the least developed countries in South Asia. About a third of the country floods every year due to the monsoon rainy season, severely hindering economic development.
